We’ve teamed up with The Movember Foundation, the GTHL, and Mike Babcock himself to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in Canadian youth sport. GTHL teammates will work together off the ice to fundraise for the Movember Foundation using special edition, Movember themed Babsocks. The socks are designed to be a reminder of how important mental health is, especially for athletes.
The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men's health.
Since 2003, Movember has empowered millions of men and women to join the global men’s health movement. Through the moustaches grown, the connections created, and the conversations generated, the money Movember has raised has gone towards funding 1,200 breakthrough men’s health projects in 21 countries.
Mental health is an integral part of men’s health. Movember invests in programs that help men and boys stay mentally healthy. In Canada, Movember invests in health services that will focus on upstream, community-level prevention programs to improve mental health.
